Introduction

Welcome to the Wales Cancer Conference 2010.
The Wales Cancer Conference is a highlight for all in Wales and beyond. The programme is designed for basic & translational cancer researchers, for clinical staff and clinical researchers, for patients and the public and for policy makers. This day and a half will provide opportunities for learning, for networking and broadening your horizons. International plenary speakers, special sessions for patients, the public and non-scientists and a debate make for a varied and stimulating programme. We look forward to welcoming you in April 2010.
This event is jointly organised by the Wales Cancer Institute and the Wales Cancer Alliance.
The Wales Cancer Institute is a central partnership of collaborative research groups to increase the quantity and quality of cancer research in Wales, translating work done in the laboratories and clinical trials into new cancer drugs and new treatments.
The Wales Cancer Alliance is made up of leading voluntary cancer organisations who wish to promote the best cancer prevention, treatments, research and care for people in Wales.
